Arjaye Jeter - Rapxploitation [VIDEO]

Sorry Nerds! I've been on a hiatus. Third quarter of Junior year has been fucking VEXATIOUS. I've hardly gotten to listen to the stuff in my inbox! (I'm slowly sifting through it and mass writing as you read this.) Luckily, 4th quarter is here, and hopefully, that means that the school work will lighten up, but if it doesn't (because my teachers can be overbearing assholes), there's only 8 weeks left of school for me! After that, I'm an internet blogger almost full time.
Today, I have this joint by Chicago rapper, Arjaye Jeter. The smooth boom bap beat is produced by Thelonius Martin. The video is filmed by Hatwood312. All of those kids are part of some new Chicago media team called Chillville. I'm really digging the song. It's pretty simple, and simplicity can be such elegance sometimes. The video is pretty typical, but it's cool. The only thing that angers me is the horrible promotion strategy. They paid whatever amount of money for 20k+ fake views. That's the wrong way to do things and it just looks stupid when you only have 2 comments and like 13 likes. Just a tip to you artists out there: pay for real promotion and PR, not just botviews and subscribers
The song tho: 3.6 Nerd Contemplations out of 5

Bink - Invitation [VIDEO]

Hey there everybody! It's me, the real Carlton Banks, Bill Nye's 2nd cousin, and Paul Hewitt's homeboy. Here today, I am showing you Bink's latest video to the intro from his mixtape 3.5, "Invitation." It's short and to the point. The mix sounds waaay better than the CDQ somehow haha. The video was done by DiamondfFireFilms. It looks like the video to that song that Joey Bada$$, Casey Veggies, and Mac Miller did last 4th of July. It's a bit typical, but I'm not complaining or anything. If you want my review of the song, check my review of Bink's 3.5 EP. I do wonder how the video got over 50k views though. With only 184 likes and 78 comments, I'll assume that he paid for some, or DMVJams is a much more popular site than I thought it was. I believe they posted this to their site when the video first dropped. Check it out and tell me what you think about it.

This video was brought to you by Waverly Spades, and now I'm off to work on Pre100 journals.

Jay Verze - Cruisin'

If you read my review of TwoElevenSeventeen, you already know I don't like this song.
First thing's first. That is a big ass Adam's Apple. lol
Ok, see this is what I'm talking about. It's such a.. typical song. It's a basic video too. Like I was more so laughing at this than applauding it, sadly, but that's just me.
And over half of the shots are him instead of the story of the video. That irks me a bit. lol. Like a scene of Jay Verze, and then another scene of Jay Verze. lol what?
This video does make me a chuckle a bit. From around 2:17 to 2:22, he's just in your face. I don't know. It just makes me chuckle.
Notice how Jay got the baddest girl? Lol look at Shwaze's and that other guy's girl, and look Verze's. Not fair haha.
While the video is very beautifully shot, and well put together, I just don't like the song, and I don't like the concept. It's too basic, in my opinion. Verze can do way better.
Now don't take this the wrong way. I may have just clowned Jay a bit, but I, Waverly Spades, support Jay Verze to the fullest. I just don't like this one song. lol I now know what it feels like to be the 1%.
OK. so where's the One Night Video?
This was brought to you by Waverly Spades saying, simplicity is greater than basicness.
