JuniorJTG - Smilin Faces [Audio]

Sup everybody. It's me, the orignal black nerd, aka Nardwuar behind a blog, aka the real Carlton Banks, but you may know me as Waverly Spades. Today, Indiana rapper, JuniorJTG sent me his new track "Smilin' Faces" and I suppose I'll tell you what I think of it.
When the beat starts playing, I thought I was listening to Rich Man and The Pauper. While it sorta has the same message (and same temptations sample), JunorJTG puts his own little flow on this. I've never really heard an Indiana rapper, so this sound is somewhat new to me, but at the same time, not. He sounds like a mix of an indie southern rapper, and everyone from Chicago. (Indiana is right next to Illinois.) Overall, I like the song, but I do really hate the mixing. Vocals too loud, not mixed with the beat enough, vocal samples not loud enough, all that stuff that usually annoys me, but it's an okay song.

Bink - Invitation [VIDEO]

Hey there everybody! It's me, the real Carlton Banks, Bill Nye's 2nd cousin, and Paul Hewitt's homeboy. Here today, I am showing you Bink's latest video to the intro from his mixtape 3.5, "Invitation." It's short and to the point. The mix sounds waaay better than the CDQ somehow haha. The video was done by DiamondfFireFilms. It looks like the video to that song that Joey Bada$$, Casey Veggies, and Mac Miller did last 4th of July. It's a bit typical, but I'm not complaining or anything. If you want my review of the song, check my review of Bink's 3.5 EP. I do wonder how the video got over 50k views though. With only 184 likes and 78 comments, I'll assume that he paid for some, or DMVJams is a much more popular site than I thought it was. I believe they posted this to their site when the video first dropped. Check it out and tell me what you think about it.

This video was brought to you by Waverly Spades, and now I'm off to work on Pre100 journals.

Jase - Waiting...[New Mixtape]

Download Mixtape | Free Mixtapes Powered by DatPiff.com

What's up everybody? It's the real black nerd here, and I would like to say, "What am I doing?" I've been bumping this joint for like a month or so and still haven't posted it to the blog. I honestly didn't know much about Jase before I checked  out his free album, but I'm glad I checked it out. If you happen to be ignorant of Jase's identity, he's a rapper from Baltimore. He's associated with TrapRockRadio and he's part of TAGMG.
This album here.. This thing is amazing. It's late and honestly, I'm too lazy to write much, but I'd like to say that an album like this is something not so new, but almost forgotten in rap music. It's a versatile album. You've got songs of all variety. There's the random ones, hard ones, smooth ones, etc. There's literally a little bit of everything on here. With production from Street Scott, Dre Stolah, and more, the beat selection on here is obviously ridiculous. The features are simply shattering. Jase's flows makes up for his lack of topics. This joint is Nerd approved. peep it
